Radius

The challenge with Radius was that they wanted the vestibule transformed, but didn't want to remove the existing wallpaper. The restaurant was located in Boston's financial district and had an air of elegance, so I wanted to design something that was simultaneously corporate and streamlined, yet ornate. I sourced elaborate frames and painted them to blend in with the taupe wallpaper, save one with a round center -- a nod to the restaurant's name -- which I painted bright red to match the accent lighting in the main dining room.

Radius also wanted a barrier between the hostess stand and the dining room, but one that didn't entirely obstruct the view. I created a curtain to divide the two spaces using the the plastic version of the pearly petals of the "money tree" plant.
