I think it all started with The Nutcracker. My mom took me to see it when I was a girl, and I was simply gobsmacked by the Kingdom of Sweets – an explosion of candies, cakes, frosting, glitter, crystals and jewels! From that moment forward, I became obsessed with creating and setting scenes, eventually becoming a window display artist, building props and doing installations for Valentino; Hermes; Shreve, Crump & Low; and Lux, Bond & Green. Then, I decided to have a go at it on my own.

I will be forever inspired by those who can take raw materials and turn a plain stage into a snowy wood or Arabian harem. Ditto with magicians who convert empty store windows into dioramas that grab you and draw you into another world. I have a driving need to do the same. The intersection of a client’s challenge and a design solution are some of my most thrilling moments.
